Is there something I’ve missed?” This approach leaves the door open for the prospect to provide additional insights while signalling that you won’t waste their time – or yours – if there’s no genuine need to proceed.

When you ask thoughtful questions and listen carefully to the prospect’s answers, you show that you genuinely care about their challenges. This approach fosters trust and makes it more likely that the prospect will be open to your solutions when the time is right.

 

In sales, it’s not just about finding a problem and offering a solution. It’s about taking the time to understand the depth of the issue, showing that you care, and providing a solution only when it truly aligns with the prospect’s needs.
